The leaves have gotten a few shades darker. They’re a dull maroon now. They were still vibrant yellows and oranges before.
Time passes. Autumn.
It’s pretty. The leaves have all a tinge of ruby, and yet the summer flowers still remain in full bloom.
As it rains, the raindrops float and glide gently in the air like petals, instead of pelting down.
The illusion of snow.
And at night, the moonlight shines through the bitter leaves, leaving a glow of orange on the grass.
Somewhat melancholy.
Should I miss summer? The colours, the birds, the bright glow amongst everything...
Or do I appreciate this scarlet autumn scene?
Green passes into Red
Emerald into ruby.
Incarnadine,
dear summer.
